UK Stamp Duty Calculator
Stamp Duty on Residential Property Purchases, is calculated at increasing rates for each portion of the price being paid, in a similar fashion to income tax.
As from 1st April 2016, an additional 3% has to be added to the SDLT payable on properties purchased as either a second home or a ‘Buy to Let’. In addition as of 1st April 2021 a further 2% surcharge is payable for non UK residents.
The nil-rate threshold for First Time Buyers’ Relief is increased from £300,000 to £425,000 and the maximum amount that an individual can now pay while remaining eligible for First Time Buyers’ Relief is increased to £625,000.
