DESCRIPTION

This lush garden stands out beautifully against the elegant white stucco residences that surround it. The square is named after William Lowndes of Chesham, Secretary to the Treasury of Great Britain in the 18th Century. His favourite English adage was said to be “Take care of the pence and the pounds will take care of themselves” and he left a substantial wealth and legacy.
