EPC (Energy Performance Certificate)

The commissioning of an EPC is the responsibility of the vendor or landlord (not the agent) and non compliance can result in a fine. An EPC has to be available at the commencement of a tenancy or to have been commissioned prior to an exchange of contract in the case of a sale.

In both instances Kaye & Carey will be happy to introduce an EPC provider to a landlord or vendor and arrange for an EPC to be carried out on their behalf. This will be undertaken upon receipt of monies to cover the cost of the EPC in the case of a tenancy.

Once an EPC is in place it is valid for 10 years.
